Instance starts, then stops. No errors.

I had AMP running with multiple instances managed in ADS. There was a power event that took the server down. When it came back up ADS starts, but when I try to launch any of the instances they start, then about 10 seconds or so later they stop. I see no error messages anywhere.

I can (and have) get them running manually by browsing to the AMPDatastore, going into the instance, and manually launching the server executable; BUT then it's the application running and not the instance, so still unable to manage inside of ADS.

Any thoughts? Any way to track down the culprit? Should I just make note of my instance settings, blow away AMP and rebuild?

Have you checked the instance log file(s)?

The instance logs I looked at showed " starting" and then next line is " stopped"

Perhaps there is a different location for the said logs I should be looking at?

Thats the log for ADS, you need to check the log for the actual Minecraft instance.

Thanks for the heads up that I wasn't looking in the right place; I got to looking and found the log that you've mentioned. For some reason looks like it lost the license. Any idea on what could of caused that? Any log that would lead me to track that down so this doesn't happen again?

For others the log with the error was located in AMPDatastore\Instances\AMP_Logs

[22:11:45] [Core Error]           : No valid AMP licence was found. Please run `ampinstmgr reactivate Minecraft01` to reactivate this instance.</instance>

It would seem that ADS doesn't like the usage of my original key (MCAdmin 2). Or maybe it's just doesn't like it in conjunction with the second key I bought (AMP). Even after resetting it would only work again when I applied the AMP key to both. So looks like I'll have to run ADS and a separate instance in order to still keep use of my original key. Oh well, just happy to have the servers up and running again. My family was getting annoying constantly asking when they'd be able to play again, lol.
