Cannot make local Minecraft server with beta/snapshot versions

OS Name/Version: Ubuntu server 16.04

Problem Description: Setting 'Release Stream' to Specific Version then selecting 'Official version' to any of the Beta's or Snapshots has no effect. Starting the server creates a latest version server.

Actions taken to resolve so far: Changed 'Release Stream' to beta and clicked Download/Update but latest version is downloaded, even with a fresh instance. If 'Release Stream' is set to Specific Version, clicking Download/Update does not create the pop up to show download in progress. Perhaps something missing there?

Tried a few fresh instances and rebooted server with no success.

Have you changed the selected jar file to be the one that matches the version you'd like to run?

I am also having the same issue - see attached video

@Mike - let me know if I can provide anything else.

In the end shutch, I manually copied the specific jar file to my server and it started up without a hitch. I assumed that the config menu was there to download and install the correct jar file but it doesn't appear so.

You may need to un-select the desired version and re-select it before hitting update for the change to take effect. Also for Spigot it may be necessary to switch to the nightly build of AMP.
