OS Name/Version: OS Windows Platform Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard Evaluation

Product Name/Version: AMP "lapetus" 1.9.9.2 OS Problem Description: Factorio Server fails to start due to it not being able to move a file

Steps to reproduce:

Step 1 on a new Factorio instance; press start under the Status Tab
Step 2 Factorio server attempts to start; sometimes an error message will pop up saying it failed
Step 3 Factorio server console will show output that it could not start due to being unable to move a file

Log

Actions taken to resolve so far: attempted research into the issue being factorio itself with no luck. looked at previous technical support articles for "factorio wont start" and this issue does not seem to be the same.

the log file is extremely large for even a short duration as it loops the same error, I will have to post it in multiple parts. I have edited out the excessive hyphens (-) but have otherwise left the formatting the same in order to reduce the characters as this post has a 6000 character limit. Logs to follow.

I can confirm having similar issues on a clean install of AMP on Windows 10

Here is a paste of the error that is being displayed in the console: pastebin.com/75QDqp8Y

It seems like AMP is starting 2 instances of Factorio and one keeps crashing and restarting based on what I see in the task manager.

I have tried running the command that AMP uses to start the server manually via the command prompt and it worked fine. \bin\x64\factorio.exe --start-server ./saves/default.zip --console-log log.out --bind 0.0.0.0:34197 --rcon-port 7777 --rcon-password --server-settings \data\server-settings.json -c \config\config.ini Note that RootFolder = \Instances\\factorio\427520

More details:

  • The OS you're using and its version:
    • Windows 10 build 19041.208
  • The name and version of the Cubecoders product you are using.
    • AMP v1.9.9.2 A description of the issue you are having.
  • Steps to reproduce the issue (for bugs in particular)
    • Make a new Factorio instance and try to start it
  • A paste of any relevant output from the log file for a given AMP instance (where applicable).
    • I can provide more logs if requested

it does not seem to let me post again.

It seems like there is a spam filter that may be blocking your really long error-log posts. I would recommend that you use PasteBin, like I did, but make sure it doesn't show up as a URL or the spam filter may block it.

Nightly build of AMP has a fix for this :)

Thanks for the help! (and the new nightly build) all is now working.
