How do I perform a password reset on the AMP admin user?

My password manager failed and the password I set for the admin user was not saved. I'm looking for a way to reset/change the password for the admin user. I have full access to the server, as well as a secondary user which is supposed to be another admin user, but seems to have no rights other than logging in.

I'm looking around on the server and in the code to find out how the passwords and/or user rights are stored, but any help would be appreciated.

Less than a minute after posting this, I figured it out.

  1. Log onto your server using ssh.
  2. Log in as the amp user (sudo su - amp)
  3. Navigate to /opt/cubecoders/amp.
  4. Discover the name of your AMP instance using ./ampinstmgr --ShowInstancesTable - for me it was ADS01.
  5. Reset the password using ./ampinstmgr --ResetLogin.
  6. In my case, I had to reactivate the instance using ./ampinstmgr --StartInstance ADS01.

Leaving this here for future reference.

Short version is just ampinstmgr resetlogin - there's no requirement to change directory etc. ampinstmgr status will also show the instances.
