OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 18.04

Product Name/Version: Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Official)

Problem Description:

Attempting to start the application yields unable "Couldn't determine which jar file to use.". Attempted to use custom startup with the string LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./bedrock_server with no success "Couldn't determine the URL to fetch an update from. You may need to install this server type manually.".

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create new instance from scratch.
  2. Select Minecraft Bedrock Edition
  3. Download and Upgrade to pull the files.
  4. Start Server

Actions taken to resolve so far: Attempted Both standard and custom starts. Turned on Log level 0 however no results other then what is displayed in Web Window.

It's a known issue that has been fixed. You can either grab the nightly build to get the fix now, or wait for the next update.

There is a workaround to get it to run without updating:

  • Change the server type to Official and hit update
  • Change the server jar setting to the server jar it downloaded
  • Change the server type back to Bedrock
